Councillor Ivan Cochrane, took over the role for the civic year 2026-27 from outgoing Chair, Rona Hardy, at the council’s annual meeting on Tuesday 26th May 2026. As well as presiding over full council meetings, Cllr. Cochrane will represent the local council on civic visits and at ceremonial events. Councillor Stephen Maitland took on the role of Vice-Chairman for 2026-27.
